Private Lessons in Your Home

Phenix Dogs offers fun and effective Austin area / Central Texas private lessons in your home. Private lessons are also available at our ranch in Bertram, where we use our own pack to create socialization opportunities for your puppy or adult dog. Estimated time for the first lesson is one and a half hours. Lessons are an hour each after the initial meeting - if follow up lessons are required. Home lessons cover everything from general manners to aggression issues to fine-tuning obedience and competition dogs.

Private lessons are $50 an hour. Please call for special pricing for rescued or shelter dogs.

Shelter Tour

We believe that there is a perfect match for every dog and every home. No matter what your preference is, we can help you navigate your way around all of the Central Texas and Greater Austin area shelters and assist you in picking out your lifetime best friend. Since you and your dog will spend as many as 15 years together (depending on the age, breed and health of the dog you choose), isn't it worth it to get a professional evaluation of the dog you are interested in? Phenix Dogs can do a temperament test that will help to show you any potential weaknesses and special strengths the dog you fall in love with may have.

We have long-term relationships with many shelters in Austin and in surrounding areas. If we know what kind of dog you are looking for, we can direct you to the right shelter in your search. For example, many of the outlying shelters are full with herding or livestock guarding breeds, while city shelters have everything from A to Z in dogs. Finding your dog in a city shelter can be daunting and time-consuming, so let us help you find the perfect pet.

Shelter tours are $25 per hour.

Board and Train

Phenix Dogs creates a personalized training program while your dog boards with us for 30-90 days. We train the basics - sit, down, stay, come, heel - and we focus on whatever is most important to you. You name the behavior and we can train it!

Cost is $800 per month, which includes housing, training, and food.

Boarding

We offer selective boarding in our home for pre-screened dogs. Dogs who stay with us enjoy a retreat-like experience on our 100-acre ranch in Burnet County. No kennels, no cages, just lots of fun!

Cost for boarding is $40 per day, which includes housing, food, and fun!
