5-Week Puppy Class

(Classes are currently on summer hiatus. We have a waiting list for classes that will resume in early Fall. Please check back for start dates.)

Cost: $150 per dog (plus tax)

Introducing your puppy to good dog manners:
  • Clicker and wrist band provided
  • Owner brings training treats
  • Watch Me
  • Touch (or Targeting)
  • Place
  • Sit
  • Down
  • Recall
  • Loose Leash Walking
  • Take it/Drop it
  • Puppy Socialization - preparing for groomer, vet, meeting other dogs, stop puppy nipping, crate games

Classes are on Thursday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm.

Classes are limited to 6 students and fill quickly! Pre-payment is required.

Enrolling in the class?

Please DO NOT feed your puppy prior to class! Bring easy to chew training treats. Also, please have your dog on a flat collar or a Martingale collar/leash. Please, NO choke or pinch collars, and NO retractable leashes.

5-Week Adult Dog Manners class

Introducing your dog to good dog manners

Who this class is for: spayed/neutered and vaccinated dogs older than 7 months of age

What to bring: your dog on a flat collar or a martingale type with a 6 ft long leash (no choke or pinch collars an no retractable leashes); a place mat or bed; LOTS of training treats that are easy for the dog to chew quickly, such as hot dogs cut up into small pieces; your clicker.

What we teach: This class is designed to give you control over your dog in social settings and at home. We use all dog-friendly methods and we teach with the aid of the powerful, pain-free clicker!

We teach dogs:
  • name recognition
  • come when called
  • sit
  • down
  • sit and down stay
  • place bed
  • stop jumping up
  • politely greeting house guests
  • loose leash walking
  • learning what is okay to chew on and what’s not
  • crate training
  • a few tricks for fun

Classes are on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:45 pm
